Careers Assistance Required
The Careers Department works with the Oundle Society by drawing on our vast
and diverse resource network to provide pupils with the opportunity to attend
work experience placements and seek careers advice from professionals.
Work experience placements give pupils an invaluable insight into potential
future careers. In the current highly competitive market, both for university
places and employment, work experience is vital, and provides an opportunity
to develop skills and apply academic learning beyond the classroom. Work experience
placements are a prerequisite for a number of degree courses and are increasingly
being referred to at interview and on UCAS personal statements.
We should be delighted to hear if you or your organisation are prepared to:
1. Offer work experience placements (anything from one day to two weeks).
2. Offer careers advice by telephone, e-mail or in person.
3. Attend careers events at the School.
Any offers of help would be most gratefully received. Your details would be
added to the Careers Department database and matched to individual pupils'
enquiries.
Please contact the Work Experience Administrator, Helen Stubbings on 01832 277175 or email hstubbings@oundleschool.org.uk if you are able to help.
